Ultimate Hold and Traction
Two threaded holes fix the removable front studs to improve traction on muddy and changeable terrain while the lightweight soles provide stiffness with a tread that is highly resistant to abrasion and wear. The shape of the soles allow for ultimate hold and traction, as well as instant mud shedding.

No Pressure Points
The perforated tongue allows for better breathability and temperature control while the updated injection moulded plastic anatomic heel-cup will not deform or weaken over time and thanks to the Boa IP-1 closure system with Dual FCS you can obtain a precise, fast and personalised closure on the entire frontal area of the shoes without any pressure points, guaranteeing accuracy, stability and comfort. There are also reflective inserts to provide maximum visibility in low-light conditions.

Technologies:

• Tarsal Support System (TSS): These shoes are designed with TSS technology to ensure the perfect position of the foot inside the shoes, obtaining a rounded and more efficient pedal stroke.
• Boa IP-1: The Boa IP-1 reel has a triple functionality: to close the right shoe, turn the reel clockwise and to open it, turn counter clockwise. For the left shoe, do the exact opposite. For a quick release, simply pull up and to engage, simply push down. The reel has a hexagonal shape that when combined with the rubberised finish, gives a more effective grip.
• Air Ventilation System: All Gaerne shoes provide excellent breathability and temperature control.
• EPS Comfort Insole: Internal anatomical insole with tarsal area support to grant comfort and pedalling efficiency. The insole is perforated for optimum microclimate inside the shoe.
• Dual FCS (Fitting Closure System): The innovative Dual FCS consists of two Boa IP-1 micro adjustable reels and four guides for each reel. These elements allow you to obtain a precise, fast and personalised closure on the entire frontal area of the shoes without any pressure points.

Gaerne technology combined with the know-how of Michelin’s designers and technicians, gave birth to the new EPS Light Weight Carbon Fiber Mtb sole, offering the right mix of performance, durability, strength and lightweight. Its structure is made up of carbon to provide excellent stiffness and power in pedaling. Michelin rubber tread combines a compound designed to balance performance and abrasion resistance – also in extreme conditions – with a design profile which allows for excellent hold and traction. The large distance between the treads allows better self-cleaning and instant mud shedding. For the riders who need even more grip, two holes in the toe cup allow the fixing of screw-on and interchangeable cleats, available in different colours.
